The dogs collapse

in hot heaps.

Summer’s simmering

settles into evening

breeze, but

the sun drops

ever earlier,

and autumn calls.

I have been noticing my house is getting chillier in the morning. Kind of sad, but also happy. I love fall, but I’m always sad to see summer go
