The
birches are
speckled with new
green. Forest lace.
Bursting with
spring
The
birches are
speckled with new
green. Forest lace.
Bursting with
spring
It’s quivering
twisting
trembling in anticipation
waiting in a
golden gown
to tumble
and dance
with the wind.
A golden leaf
spins toward blackness,
buffeted by traffic,
drifting your way
then my way
above
the high way.
A leaf on the drive way
A large golden heart
No trees nearby match its shape
It is a
a love letter
from the wind.
