The flowers in the vase
sit in green water,
heads drooping,
stems rubber,
celebration of beauty
worn by time, fading into
compost for future
blossoming.

So it is with my gifted roses, all dried petals now.
I did that for years. Then hubby broke the giant jar of rose heads. There might be a metaphor there? lol
