Apparently,
someone arrived at my blog
yesterday, having used
the search term
“Fluevog addict.”
Ouch.
That seems a little harsh.
Addict?
Really?
Couldn’t we just say
“aficionato?”
or “connoisseur?”
Addict?
Come on now.
That’s definitely over-stating.
Seriously.
.
Um.
Did I tell you?
To celebrate my Master’s placement
I have Prepared Hi Steadies coming ?
Aren’t they gorgeous?
Way cheaper than a party to celebrate,
and I get to enjoy them for ages!
years!
Rather than a single evening.
That’s not addiction.
That’s just…
happiness.
😉
Oh, and
John Fluevog thinks I’m awesome!
So there.
.
(Well fine, he probably thinks you’re awesome, too)

PS>
Fluevog liked this poem so much, that they sent me a mug! Yay! 🙂 They know how to feed their addic… >>cough<< …fans. Many thanks to Preet at the Vancouver Granville Fluevog store, who takes good care of me, AND sends me presents! (If you look closely, you can see that the mug says “Juan Fluevog” I think that’s hilarious. Vog humour. HA!)
🙂
Sensible shoes, and I’ve heard resistant…kinda like kick-ups
I have clogs in this line (which are lower), and they are sooooooooooooooooo comfortable, and tall, and weird, and wonderful… Vogs are well made, their customer service is amazing, and their shoes are brilliant. 🙂
Shawn, of the many things I know about you, your love of these shoes is at the very top of the list. 🙂
Some day I will be a Vogunteer. (That’s a shoe model-shoot for Vogs, where you submit one photo of yourself- knees and down- wearing your Vogs in interesting places for every day of the month. You need to own a month’s worth of Vogs to be eligible. I’m only 1/3 of the way there. 😉 )
Come to think of it, how could I be an addict with only 10 pairs? Even if I do know them all by name, and can recite same on demand. 😉
It’s part of my culture, how could I not like them? Not that I wear them, but hey, it just wouldn’t look right on me 🙂
Part of your culture? Shoe culture? Human culture? I’m confused.
German culture 🙂
I did not know that suede platform shoes were part of German culture! lol Awesome shoes by John Fluevog have been part of Canadian culture since he opened his first store in Vancouver 40 years ago, but I’ve just discovered them, and I LOVE them!
Yep, they are fashioned after the German wooden clog of old.
Ahhhhhh! I see what you’re saying! 🙂 Yes, they do have that vibe, particularly the yellow ones. The black and purple ones less so.
I found your blog by looking up writing. 👍
That’s an excellent reason to find your way here. 🙂
Welcome! I hope you’ll find some useful resources.
I’m pretty impressed! You have imagination and creativity!
