I’m moving through molasses
going slowly,
thinking like my thoughts are spilled ink
too dark to decipher.
Winter weather draws the sky closer,
closeting us in cloud,
so much white is blinding.
Days are short, but oh, so, slow
and cold.

This is nice. I like the line “winter weather draws the sky closer” it really does, doesn’t it 🙂 nice job I look forward to reading more of your work. Michelle
Thanks, Michelle. I’m glad you stopped by today!
Sort of like a half-day of school, before a holiday. Every.minute.is.weighted.down.
Or the week AFTER school holidays… 😉
Oh, I know those feelings!
🙂 My sympathies!
Happy New Year! ♡ ☆
Great poem for winter. It was in the 40s & 50s for the holidays but the temperature are going down to the 30s tonight. Freezing temperature are about to hit New York City.
Bundle up! We’re all layering and piling on the sweaters! Happy 2017 to you!
Too creative to paint the winter!😊
On my drive to work each morning, I travel along a highway with many spots where there are frozen waterfalls. Every year, someone comes by with colourant to spray these frozen falls in vibrant colours- literally painting winter. 🙂 It’s quite pretty.
That’s the beauty of this nature 🙂
🙂
Can you read my mind or what??
🙂
lol
Great poem! And just thinking, it’s only January
Our winter is usually over by the end of January, so that’s a good thing!
Very wintry, suits my mood just now. Thanks, nice work.
Thanks for stopping by, Paul.
