I count three shooting stars

as the porch swing rocks to the rhythm

of one desperately lovesick frog.

Great image! I hear August will be prime time for shooting stars this year. Some asteroid thingy…. 😊

    • Perseid meteor shower comes along every August. I stepped out to let the dog pee, and collapsed on our swing while he did his thing. In the 3 minutes or so that I was there, I saw 3 zip past in just the little bit of sky that I could see. I’ve never had seen so many so quickly.

” . .. one desperately lovesick frog.” Awesome!

  4. Anthropomorphizing amphibians. Nice. I can hear the deep throated love rattle.

  5. Woah… the shortness of the poem really expressed the idea well. I’m always impressed by these works.
