poem- sleep is a light house January 23, 2014

You call to me

like a fog horn,

insistent,

overwhelming,

but your light house beacon is dark

and I toss on stormy seas

unable to find your sanctuary.

Fear not my dear, I was only changing the bulb! Seriously, I liked this poem and do not mean to make fun or diminish it or you. Just some levity to intense emotional turmoil. I have been on those stormy seas many times myself. But I made a promise to myself long a go, I would not write unless it could be resolved or at least leave the reader with even just a slim hope, it would still be hope and that it always more than any of us need.

I know this feeling all too well. I love the metaphor you have chosen.

  4. Perfect for me since I am the Queen of Insomnia!! LOL!! Slumber is most certainly an elusive bird flying away just out of my reach & far beyond my grasp..
