Starling:
speckled iridescence
disco strutting along the highway,

your piece was short but oh so sweet
lol Thanks. I saw another one on my commute today, and thought I should add something about the slick/glossy hair/feathers. As I was watching the starling who inspired this poem, the tune I heard in my head was, “You can tell by the way I use my walk I’m a woman’s man, no time to talk…”
I’ve been trying for YEARS to figure out what music the starlings dance to — of course it’s disco! Thank you for clarifying that — now I can sleep at night again. 😉
lol. You’re welcome.
This poem made me smile. Haven’t been smiling a lot lately. Thank you.
I’m especially glad to have helped coax that smile. ((hug))
