Today my class is learning about the PANTOUM poetry form, while in the US, protesters have broken into congress amid riots, so here’s our demo pantoum.

It’s crazy!! An historic day.
It’s not like we didn’t have suspicions this was the end-game, but it is still astounding.
I completely agree yeah :\. Just didn’t expect it to take this form I guess! I think something extremely ugly was only narrowly averted today, as ugly as it was already. I haven’t been holding my breath either on making it to January 20th without something big happening.

They have to try to invoke this or do an impeachment. Can’t take the risk of another 2 weeks of him.
I just keep wondering who is pulling the strings. I can’t quite believe Trump himself is smart enough to have lined up all these dominoes all over the country. A very alarming time, indeed.
Lawyers, family perhaps! I agree that his propensity to squirm his way out of situations sometimes seems misaligned with how dumb he is. But I do have hope that he’ll finally suffer some consequences soon! Would be amazing if he got impeached just days before in the inauguration. The stuff about pardoning himself is worrying…though! You just can’t help but think oh here it is again, he’s found another loophole.
It occurred to me the other day that this election loss may just be the first time in his life that he hasn’t got his way…? If that was true then what more of a public humiliation could he have suffered for a narcissist? Just an interesting/scary/satisfying thought!

Well you’re probably not wrong. There Are worrying hints of things coming out about the capitol riot and I’m sure there’ll be more with more investigation. I’m sure there’s a lot of bribery and blackmailing going on, too. Yeah I think it’s more that he’s just always had a lot of power that he’s able to abuse and get his way with.
Or he’s the luckiest person who ever existed 🤷♂️.

Yes, I agree- rioters, rebels, insurrectionists- I only had seen 10 mins of news at noon and they were all using the term ‘protesters’ at that point.
