I was having an very interesting conversation with a geologist about this very subject this weekend. He has a recovery business. He assures that fracking is not as horrible as we think, nor does it do quite the damage the media reports. He does say that the oil industry pumping potable water into fissures to bring up natural gas is a problem, though. I’m not quite sure I’m convinced, but it was interesting to hear his perspective.
