Sickness weighs heavy

body aches as if it is encased in cement

limbs do not want to move,

throat scratches,

eyes droop,

incision throbs,

skin shivers.

Every part of me weighed down

and longing to fall into sleep.

.

I’m definitely coming down with something!  Yesterday I was falling asleep at 8 p.m.  Tonight it wasn’t even 6 p.m.  Good night!

It’s our lizard brains taking over. I find myself yawning and look at the clock and it’s 7:23. I can’t go to bed at 7:23. I’d be up by 4. Next weekend we fall back and it’ll be dark a little after 5. Maybe I’ll just give up and go to bed with the chickens. Feel better soon.

I hope you’re feeling better soon.

  5. And likewise, only the sleep bit is missing. Flu it is. Very beautifully written as always. Get well soonest.
