Free

might not be all it’s cracked up to be.

If where you are, you’re unhappy

what improvements do you foresee?

What will you change inside you?

Because here’s something true

unless something within is new

Your baggage’s just dragging after you!

You’re just bringing the same self you knew

  1. Outer freedom, inner chains. What is gained?

    • The chains also tend to tangle other people, have you noticed? Free for one causes other’s enslavement in some strange paradox, and evne more profound: the louder people proclaim they’re free, the more enslaved they are.

Good one.. the Gautama Buddha once said something similar, about baggage

  3. So true, an excellent point of view … 🙂

To me, the amusing part is how much extra they’re charging for you to bring your baggage along. Does irony have one or two N’s?
