Four lanes of traffic gush past
the single stunted sunflower
stretching through a cleft in the pavement,
blooming in adversity.
I just love this
Thanks. I almost pulled over to snap a photo, since I knew it would become a poem, but I barely going to make my appointment on time, so I couldn’t stop. Besides, the traffic really was awful.
You did just perfect ♡
Thank you Candice. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Makes a powerful impact in just four lines! Awesome post! Please do check out my newest post as well! https://ramexabella.wordpress.com/2015/09/02/validate-me/
Thanks, Ramexa
Anytime! 🙂
Yeah Mother Nature, you go girl!
Feisty little plants! 🙂
Concise but packed with meaning and visuals. Very nice!
Thanks, Zach. I appreciate you stopping by!
Bless that little fighter. May its seeds populate the nearby lots.
🙂 May there be a veritable sunflower field in the ditch next summer! 🙂
