My scheduled time to sit vigil by your bed

was one o’clock this afternoon.

I was there, but you were gone.

    So sorry Shawn. Hope you’re doing OK. Reading this was so powerful- it had a childlike naivety about it, perfect to capture the bond between father and daughter. “I was there, but you were gone”. May he forever be in your heart.

    My heart goes out to you with blessings and prayers. I lost my mother 7/25/02. It’s never easy when a piece of you move on while the whole remains behind.
