As I read this, I think of the troupe of teen-aged belly dancers, fully-clothed and completely elegant, in a small-town Founder’s Day parade, this morning.
Yes, the bikini tops are a rare thing in most troupes, and the body control is impressive (particularly the belly, of course) when done well. 🙂 Personally, I tend to be the comic relief, I think. 😉
[ Smiles ] Lovely poem, my dear!
Merci, Renard.

My thanks, Don.
Mrs. Bird, belly dancing, o-my!
Not since I broke my ankle, unfortunately!
Broke your ankle belly-dancing?
Nope. Walking across the road to get the mail during the big snow dump in January.
Awe
evergreen shadows that
shimmy under shining sun.
Only you can write such wonderful lines 🙂
Others probably can; I just did. 😉

I love the alliteration. Sequined blue below. and that great last line.
Thanks, Tyler.

I’ll have to post a picture of my belly dance troupe in the tie-dyed velvet tops that were the inspiration! 🙂
Please do.
