The welcome words
happy greetings,
shrieks and engulfing hugs,
cool nods,
teasing jokes.
Everywhere I turn
delight.
It is nice to be missed,
but nicer to be back.

(First day back to work after breaking my ankle. Staff and students made me feel a bit like a rock star this morning with their enthusiasm.)

Happy you have progressed to healing! Great news! I’m also feeling better. My arthritis pain has subsided. It is good to hear you are doing well. Grace, Peace & Blessings!
Thank you! I’m glad to hear you’re feeling better!
Glad to hear your long ordeal is coming to an end, Shawn!
The doctor says it’ll be a year before I’m back to normal, but that I should be walking essentially normally in another couple of months. It would be so much better if I’d listened to John and stayed inside in the midst of the ice storm!
Glad to hear you are on the mend! Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
They say it’ll be a year, but I’m independently mobile, and that’s HUGE! 🙂
There is nothing so invigorating as being with children or teens.
Electro-shock therapy?
😉
love!
Thanks, Laurie! I love that I’m back!
You are a rock star. Own it baby!
Thanks, Lorien! 🙂 It was rather gratifying.
An occasion well worth a poem Shawn. xxx Huge Hugs xxx
Thanks David. It was very exciting!
Great to hear that you are getting better Shawn. Get fully healed sooner than later.
(Hey, is it me or have you made some changes here?)
Changes? Nothing new aside from the Poetic Diversity Project (feel free to participate!) that’s running for a couple of weeks as final project for a grad school class.
