Soft light.
Glimmering.
Singing voices.
Dancing embers flash.
Kisses, flowers, chocolate
Is that what love looks like?
Romance on demand?
Trustworthiness.
Commitment.
They last.

This is a formed poem. Each line adds a syllable to 6, then reverses the pattern.
Sweet.
Thank you.
Too many of us, male and female, fall for the trappings. Your poem speaks true to what matters, what weathers the bad times, and without that, there is no ‘true’ love.
Thank you.
I think trappings have their place, but are they the most important thing? Definitely not.
Great stuff !
Kewl shape imagery!! I’ve done that before and its always a neat style!
Thank you, Miguel.
I like this poem and my favorite line is “Romance on demand?” We are living in a time where my generation is losing the ability to communicate with each other without technological devices. I sometimes catch myself asking these questions of what love looks like. As complicated and complex a term like love maybe it is shifting and changing from what we once admired.
I will tell my students that love is an action, and ask them what love looks like. I will run into kids who can’t get their heads around that. They insist it’s ‘just a feeling’ that they have no control over. Chemistry is one thing; love is another. They’re related, but not synonymous.
This is good – love the shape too.
Thanks, Andrew.
Always nice to see the end, in the beginning.
