There is an eagle perched

above the Eagle River,

stretching his wings

and asking for a poem.

  4. This lovely little poem has such depth despite length. I write many and appreciate many by other writers, although I don’t think that they’re in the literary forefront right now. Imagist poetry like this captures me through the image and then leads to reflection as yours does. “asking for a poem”

  5. Although this is not a writers group per se, I really like sharing interests in different aspects of life, in this case nature and birds. So later, I’ll be sharing my poem, Glide, and I’m wondering if perhaps we both have caught similar feelings about this. Take care.
