You are riding 140 km
on your bicycle this morning.
Upon your return
I have promised to have
fresh baked oatmeal raisin cookies
waiting for you.
.
.
How’s this for timing? Hubby comes up the stairs, stumbling a bit after pedalling 142.5 km, just as I pulled the first cookie sheet out of the oven. He was a happy man.
Excellent timing – I would do the same myself 😀
We have to look after our dear boys.
we surely do! Mine just turned up after a night camping 😀
No cookies though!
You’re falling down in the wifely duties! 😉
Hope they enjoyed their camping.
So I am, I shall need to do penance…
😉
Amazing work 🙂
Thank you. I hope you enjoy exploring here.
I already have 😀
Hope you enjoyed reading my blog as well ^^
I have a liked a few pieces.
sweet!
😉
Very!
Something about this poem almost makes me able to taste the cookies. I love the wording. (I’ll bet the cookies were good too).
The cookies are very good. Chewy and crisp.
So sweet;) you are a sweet wifey;)
I have my moments.
Generally, my pathetic housekeeping skill keeps me from any gold stars, but I have my talents. 😉
Another wonderful poem. Have you seen this? http://upsideoutpublishing.wordpress.com/2014/08/23/next-great-canadian-novel-contest-kickstarter-campaign-begins-september-1st/
Interesting. I’d be happier with a company that was solvent enough to run such a contest without Kickstart funding!
Oatmeal raisin cookie! ‘Tis evil that brand. Grasping the warm dough, fresh from the oven its heady aroma overpowers anyone’s dietary sense. And then! And then, you take that first bite and discover all is not as it seems! A slave to the pedals, up and down the mountains of BC you worked for this, the sweat of your brow, your heaving chest, your aching muscles. Only to find those semi-sweet morsels you slaved for have been supplanted! You expected gooey sweetness melting in your mouth, not this evil interloper of chewy fibre filled dietary sense! Argh! 😉
lol It’s his favourite, baked by request. Personally, I put chocolate chips instead of currants (ran out of raisins) in 1/4 of the batch for me. 😉
i wish if i can be a poet.. nice and sweet composition..
Thanks
