poem- where August 13, 2014

When you went away

full of dreams and plans

we waved your plane off

and wondered how reality

could possibly live up to

your unreasonable expectations.

We let you go to find your way

and when nothing is

what you thought it’d be

We have faith that

you will figure out

the reason,

and create reasonable

reality

for yourself.

  1. Having sent 4 away, you nailed it! Great job. Now, write the one about your heart, the pull and tug as they fly, and your own journey of discover and rediscovery? 🙂

    • It’s been six years without them. I’m not sure I even remember…

I started writing Grace Awakening when they left, which suggests all the discovery is probably right there between the pages…

  2. Megan's avatar Megan Says:

Being unreasonable about reality and having to change your view of it is a great topic. You captured the image of someone (a college student most likely) taking off for the future quite well.

  3. I just sent my 1st born off 2 weeks ago…
Perfect timing. You’ve captured the feelings and experience dead on 🙂
