poem- warning July 1, 2014

I want you.

Despite all the objections,

inspections, rejections,

imperfections,

my predilection

is you.

.

.

.

Just think  all the things the poet could be addressing here.  Is the ‘you’ a lover, a baby, a puppy, a great pair of shoes…?  😉  What is your predilection?

I must say, this poem speaks to me in a very tender way of lovers, fighting to be together regardless if it is right or wrong, good or bad. What a beautiful poem this is!

Such a bird is beautiful, and what it wants is to fly. Bliss will be a kiss, and despite the warnings there will be flight.

Free to imagine, to hope, to desire. This was really nice Shawn.

My true self…my spirit…but it takes time to know such a one…and in this world, people think you’re crazy if you’re not constantly doing something, so sitting still in meditation–taking that time for myself to know my innermost self–this is an outrage. Many many objections to all things that lead me closer to spirit. Thanks for writing. Short and sweet and provocative.

    • If you have to deal with the needs of a family, the most important thing you can do is to take time to be centred in yourself each day. Moms are pulled in all directions. If they don’t have that daily centring then the entire household will constantly be off-kilter. Don’t ever feel guilty about strengthening the core that allows you to bend without breaking!

  24. Yes, this jets someone out on a fantasy of possibilities…mesmerizing to contemplate…from whatever orientation, even inanimate, your words land expecting almost, a reply. (talking shoes:)? No, really, loved it. Original, succinct, creative.
