You need imagination

to grab opportunities.

You have to be open

to the unfamiliar.

You have to trust that

something new could be great

and that all learning

has worth.

You have to be willing

to be out of your comfort zone

to have faith in yourself

~alone~

that every experience

will enrich you.

You have to accept opportunities

to empower your imagination.

.

.

Risk for writers: “If it doesn’t kill me, it’ll make a great story!”

As teachers we wonder why our students don’t grab at the amazing opportunities that are available to them. I was just pondering this today.

Yep. I might have said it differently, but I couldn’t have said it any better.

I really like and believe in this poem. The beginning is especially powerful to me: “You need imagination to
grab opportunities. You have to be open to the unfamiliar.” This is something I am learning to do now in my life!

Really true. Imagination and opportunity always go hand in hand.

But for an opportunity you could recognise,it is fate/luck 😉

    • So often people decide they’re fated to stay in the little box they’ve constructed (or had constructed for them) and never consider that they can climb out of the box if they want.

Agree, for that they have to realise that they are in just a box……that realisation can be called by many names…of which i gave one 🙂
