Counting words
ten at a time
twenty
thirty
Aiming for word count
three
thousand
words
345 down
2655 to go
Why can’t I ever
start writing
before eleven
p.m.?

Life of a creative genius.
lol. Hardly. 😉
Are you doing nanowrimo?
I am failing miserably at NaNoWriMo, Tim. Arg. 32,551 words down, 17,449 to go in 6 days (including today). This does not look good!
You have my sympathies. It’s a self imposed goal anyway.
True. But no less stressful. One doesn’t want to disappoint oneself!
This poem speaks to me. hehe
My condolences if you’re in the same boat!
I find myself in the same boat regularly. Right back at you.
Good luck to you, then!
l’m fast between one thousand light…:v
Pretty words to ponder.
so know that feeling lol*hugs*
Thanks! I needed that.
Counting words is something I have never had to do
Plainly you have never done NaNoWriMo! lol
NaNoWriMo! tell me all about this?
Check out the details at http://www.nanowrimo.org
thanks
ah its to write a novel in thirty days. I just saw on someone elses blog. I am far too fragmented to be able to do such a thing unfortunatly
It’s a very fast pace for me. I find 800 words a day quite comfortable (That’s what I used working on Grace) but you have to be double that for NaNo. Of course, I also ALWAYS get behind, and end up having to do 4-6,000 word days at the very end. I tend to sleep exhausted on December 1st, and not write for a couple of months, in order to recover! 🙂
See if I was not so confuzzled by the pricks and paths of a difficult destiny, I could do something like that with my eyes closed
Yes. If one isn’t working full time and juggling other responsibilities it is much less challenging. I have a presently unemployed writer friend who hit 50k the second week, and is aiming for 100k by Saturday. I’d need another 8 to 10 hours in each day to manage that. (A novel outline would also help!) lol
Maybe I should be doing this
For our words are but utterings of the soul, with which we warm others. All we keep inside warms only ourselves, but what good is a warm heart in between lonely walls?
Oooh. Lovely.
Enjoying your poems. I wrote a poem on August 17 post also titled Words. Was musing that day about how we use words in our lifespan. Interesting and wonderful so many different directions to take. Not too difficult to tell I’m a developmental psychologist I guess. Sue
