Your rose velvet tongue

washes with water, cool and clear

You stretch and strain as if to gather

rain drops-

but stop!

as you lick those glistening lips,

Your kisses become unwelcome, quick!

We stand  disgusted and agog:

Don’t drink

from the toilet,

my little girl did this as a puppy, and thankfully she outgrew it. but i will say this much – she makes the biggest mess when she drinks – and she sounds like a horse!

  6. Love the humorous surprise ending! LOL!! I get fishy tuna breath kisses from my cats mornings and evenings. For a while Weezer did try to drink from the toilet bowl but thank goodness he stopped! Now both Sylvester and Weezer drink from the water dish.
