Gentle jade waters
leap in frothy white tutus
and wear down mountains

As I was driving to Calgary today over the Rockies, I passed all sorts of lovely waterfalls with the prettiest pale green water. As I drove along, of course I composed a poem!

Nature provides endless sources of inspiration. All the Muses Love You and you Honor them Well!
Yes, it certainly does! I was also working on something about glaciers. I’ll maybe get that up tomorrow. Needs a little more brew time.
I love it!!:)
Thank you.
completely lovely!! I’m driving to Victoria from Calgary tomorrow and am bringing my notebook in the hopes of doing the very same thing 🙂
Be careful writing while you steer! 😉
I am happy for you and jealous at the same time. Love your haiku.
Thanks! (and sorry!) 😉
Loved it! Made me smile coz I do exactly the same…as I walk, drive, cycle…
lol It’s a poet thing, I guess! Glad to be in such fine company.
Lovely poem. Quite evocative
On a side note, as you were driving to Calgary, did you see Sam Heughan broken down on the side of the road>
Sadly, I did not. Nor sitting bored in the lobby of my hotel… 😉
beautiful imagery!
Thanks!
Perfect. Clever contrast metaphoric too.
Thank you.
Charming short verse. ** 🙂 **
Thank you.
I liked the unexpected imagery with white tutus. It made nature amusing and fun and not just placid and beautiful. =)
I know ballerinas, and they are such a paradox. When they dance, they look lighter than air, but they are tough, strong, and tenacious. (I’m thinking of you, if you’re out there, Melea!) Like water wears away stone, ballerinas are not what they seem!
Love frothy whit tutus – delicious imagery.
Thank you.
