Old love November 6, 2010

Filed under: Poetry — Shawn L. Bird @ 5:46 am

Sighs floating on the

Whispers of wishes and dreams,

our future unfolds

Night after night

in kisses and caresses.

With whispered words in the darkness,

we’re wrapped in rapture

year after year.

Funny how you can inspire both sweet warmth and sadness with the same words. The pleasant feelings for what you have and share here, and the melancholy feelings for those of us who have never had the joy of 25 years together.
    Nicely touching, in both ways.
