An unexpected opportunity

A lovely surprise.

Or not.

Thwarted by absence.

Then presence.

Nothing’s ever quite what’s imagined.

Intention yields to alteration

or obliteration.

Wishes wasted by

reality.

Nevertheless, we continue

to try.
