poem- looking October 5, 2017

I looked for you.

I peered deep into your eyes

searching.

You were not there,

the hollow globes blinked blankly,

soul flown,

arms embracing expectation

empty future.

I looked for you.

You were not there.

Tomorrow I will look

again.

  1. This can happen with those in an impaired mental state- though I think you are referring to someone loved and departed.

  2. onewithclay Says:

    fadeoutku

    on her way to gone
    her psyche keeps peeking out
    ever less often

  3. This poem is really – 💕.
I felt connected with your words.
