I.
On the side of the highway
an outstretched wing
unfurled black
feathers twitch in the breeze
that no longer lift it.
.
II.
On the side of the highway
unfurled curls of black
tires lie.
In the wind of passing traffic,
unwound wires twitch.
I blink.
What
exactly
did I see?
You saw a story.
lol
I frequently do!
Few lines that pulled me in…well done!
Thank you!
I often have to look twice as well – always hoping for black tires 🙂
🙂
(Poor truckers vs poor bird?)
Yes – except the truckers usually survive…
😉
I hope the bird was not in any way affected by the vehicle, to which the tires were attached.
Either it was a bird wing or it was a tire, if wing, something definitely ripped it violently from bird!
