Leaves wave

from tree tops

Some exhuberant,

amazed to greet the sky,

some, more lazily,

wave with sighs

  1. Another excellent gem of a poem. As your 8-Track Flashback Blogging Buddy I salute your poesy with this flashback tune!!

    Summer Breeze Seals and Croft

    • Oh. How I love Seals and Croft!

Once upon a time, long, long ago I had to purchase The Longest Road after this middle of the night radio dedication. I was 600 km away, listening to skip as the radio waves bounced over the Rockies and the voice of the man I adored came on and said, “This one goes all the way out to Kelowna, BC. This one’s for Shawn…”

      First love

(and 30 years later I wrote a book about it called Grace Awakening, and now I’ve recovered! lol)

  2. Seals and Crofts defined both the music of our Faith and of the early 1970’s, for quite some time.
