from tree tops
amazed to greet the sky,
some, more lazily,
wave with sighs
Another excellent gem of a poem. As your 8-Track Flashback Blogging Buddy I salute your poesy with this flashback tune!!
Summer Breeze Seals and Croft
Oh. How I love Seals and Croft!
Once upon a time, long, long ago I had to purchase The Longest Road after this middle of the night radio dedication. I was 600 km away, listening to skip as the radio waves bounced over the Rockies and the voice of the man I adored came on and said, “This one goes all the way out to Kelowna, BC. This one’s for Shawn…”
(and 30 years later I wrote a book about it called Grace Awakening, and now I’ve recovered! lol)
Glad to bring a smile and happy memories to you!
Ms. 8-Track Flashback
🙂 Thanks Deb!
Seals and Crofts defined both the music of our Faith and of the early 1970’s, for quite some time.
