Those childish promises
made with fervent belief
prove the power of intention:
Fealty sworn with hooked pinkies
in confident conviction.
If only our leaders honoured “Pinky Swear.”
Yeah.
I don’t think I ever pinky swore. Did I miss out on an important part of childhood?

Haha..I promised verbally. Nothing as solemn as the pinky ones? Nope. =D
I like this poem. It’s not just a childish promise, but a promise made with that confident intent that you know, can’t express, but you know, it is an intent shared and to be kept, deep.
I think adults often forget that children have intense opinions and beliefs. When they means something, they REALLY mean it.
