We are flexible and contented
We dance in the halls and laugh in the staff room
We inspire and challenge, stretch and strive.
We welcome opportunity to grow and improve
with new members to our team.
But.
leadership must embrace our joy. We have a culture of YES.
We ask “how can we…?” Not “Can we?”
Today, we’re afraid.
.
But
we wonder how can we
make this change create even greater opportunities for our kids.

POSITING POETICALLY FOR TEACHERS!
Here each of us sits, quaking in our boots, at the apparent thundering of a person who turns out to be quite frightened inside, him/herself.
So frequently the blustering bullies are that way because they are insecure.
It takes a real leader to provide the atmosphere that allows staff to take risks. If they want to be part of something amazing, they have to trust the messiness of innovation.
I am dumbfounded by the lack of investment in our youth. A wonderful poem expressing how the best of us feel, but how many generations of opportunity will slip by without us surviving on a shoestring of passion and hope.
Oooh. That sounds desolate.
Wonderful poem, Shawn!
Thank you!
good one. thanks. I’m wondering about our culture that drills into us that we must do something spectacular to have a worthwhile life. i’m trying to get comfortable with being, not constantly doing.
I like doing, but being requires more work.
