It’s not  small.

It overwhelms.

Unending paper piles

proliferate in the night.

A day’s work

becomes a week’s.

Somewhere under there

is order,

but it will take more

excavation.

.

.

.

I’ve been cleaning and re-organizing my office space.  Made some progress after a week, but it’s not there yet.  Arg.

What task do you have that seems to expand when you’re not looking?

  6. Laundry. Washing clothes is the bane of my existence. Ugh..

    • Thankfully, DH does the washing, but I still have to put away my own clothes (reasonably enough) and for some reason I just end up with larger and larger piles until I finally get around to dealing with it, when I can’t find anything I planned to wear any more!

Making things. While not looking the brain finds improvements in the design, or construction, and these almost always take longer to implement.
I used to tidy my office about once every year or two. Result – I could never find anything. Beforehand I knew exactly in which heap the thing was hiding.

    • Yup. I know the feeling, although if I’m the one who’s tidied, I generally know where the new location is. It’s when the DH in his wisdom decides to organize my world that trouble happens. It makes me VERY grumpy.
