You sit

silently

staring  at your lap.

Your face

reflects sorrows

you will not describe.

Silence

is your

only safe

place.

As I sit here in my silence, I find that your poetry is not only beautiful, but speaks of truths unspoken…Thank you for sharing this with us.

  4. Very reflective. Expresses many valleys in Life. Profound. Brings a clear picture to my mind of that person for many times I’ve been the person described in the poem. A depth of sadness and sorrow so deep that No words can begin to express the inner emotions.

    Well written as always.

    • Thanks Kayla.

I just started a novel that explores depression. Not sure where it’s going, but it has been an interesting start! I had no plans to do it, but Dustin and Lydia introduced themselves and insisted I start writing about them. What could I do?
