No, this is a pretty lake resort east of Vernon. (By resort I mean, camp; you bring your own bedding and food). There are a few cabins, RV, and tent sites. Beautiful spot, eh? The loons were incredible two were visible from our deck, calling, hooting, warbling. Quite an interesting repertoire of loud, echoing sounds. Very cool experience.
Love the piece Shawn, don’t say that is where you live!

You and your Husband are so lucky!
Lucky/blessed is one way of looking at it. Where we live and what we do also took lots of goal setting, work, sacrifices, and determination.
On the other hand, anyone with $40 and a tent can camp on this lake. lol
Personally i find a place for free!
By and by what would the lake be called?
lol Of course, you do.
This is at Echo Lake, near Lumby.
While i was in the music industry i just mite have been to this lake, just outside Vernon?
More or less:

Thank you darling!
This is a beautiful poem and photo. Very beautiful.
Thanks, Kimberly!
Loons are the best!
I don’t know if I’d ever actually heard them live before, for sure I’d never heard them carrying on like they were last night!
Oh how I loved this! Reminded me of a poem from long ago…and loons.

Omg it TOTALLY is cousins!
🙂
lol. Cousin poems. Great image.
Beautiful! Where I grew up (Minnesota) the loon is the state bird. I’ve always had a special fondness for them. 🙂
They are hauntingly beautiful.
Of course, here in Canada, they are on our one dollar coin, which we call a “loonie.”
