City

streets

are graveyards

of summer leaves.

Their blood red corpses

crushed beneath our feet

 ghostly impressions

on concrete:

art in

decay

.

(for Leena, in memory of our Yaletown adventures Sunday morning)

A little trip to the city?

    • Yes, I was in Vancouver for a writing conference. I had the opportunity to pitch to an amazing agent and to meet with my favourite author, Diana Gabaldon, who offered some feedback on a chapter for the piece I’m pitching.

I kept my eyes open for you, Chris, when I was downtown, but I didn’t see you.
