I lost myself
searching for you.
I faded away
on filaments of fog;
I was ephemeral
but you were there
all along: a tall
strong fortress.
Grey walls
forbidding
forboding
forth coming
for nobody seen.
My cloud self
enwraps you,
enclosing us,
and we become
mystery.

“My cloud self
enwraps you,
enclosing us,
and we become
mystery.”
Awesome!!
Thanks.
hey, that’s the part I really loved, too:)
🙂
This is completely beautiful!
You know that feeling what you lean back to read what you’ve written, and give a happy sigh of utter satisfaction? That. 😉
Glad you agree! lol
I do know that feeling. Congratulations to you on greatness!
lol
This is a beautiful tell of losing self in love that many can relate to. Great job! Now tell the phoenix story of coming back.
Hmm. Can’t quite do that one yet. Need some experience back in the real world, I suppose, but it’s been sooooo long! 😉
You will! Once you get back you will find yourself waiting. It happens pretty fast at first and then slow. Be patient with yourself, it will be worth it!
Well I don’t know; it’s been nearly 30 years…
30 years since you have been lost in the us?
Indeed. 🙂
Good luck then in finding the I! Will look forward to reading all about it.
Spend some time here, and see if you see it. I suspect lost is found in many instances. Frequently found is lost. And what is inside is not necessary what’s seen outside where independence is all others notice. Very paradoxical, but my life has always been about paradox and irony.
Do you feel the paradox and irony lifting? Do you feel the inside is coming out and you aren’t losing what you found but finding something lost?
Oh no. There is more paradox and irony every day! lol “And it was good.”
Reblogged this on Feeding your imagination and commented:
A beautiful poem anyone can relate to.
I like the rhythm & imagery you used in this piece.

Thanks. I need to find a misty castle photo to go with this… (or you can all just keep using your imaginations!)
