Evening chorus

is al fresco dining

‘Hello out there!’

‘Where are you, baby?

‘Over here, boys!’

Amphibian karaoke.

Beating out its rhythm of

summer romance.

  1. Frogs and toads, everywhere, enjoy the dance!

  2. Good word picture. It reminds me of our time living in Penticton when we had daily visits from quail families. There was always one straggler who came scurrying after the crowd calling what sounded like “Where are you.,” “Where are you?” over and over again. Who says we can’t understand what animals are saying?

  3. They sound rather like my first attempt at karaoke, or maybe even better. Cute!
