Interesting question.
When I first wrote Grace Awakening, my publisher asked me to blog as part of their marketing and promotional efforts. That’s when it started.
Whenever I posted a poem, I found I received many messages from people who were touched by what they read. That was very encouraging, so I kept posting them. Then I was challenged to post daily for a month. That went well, so I challenged myself to post a new poem daily for a year. Then for another.
I like having an impact, finding people who appreciate different perspectives. I like reading other people’s work. I like the discipline of noticing something new to write about each day. I find it empowering to have an audience for my words. I’ve been writing a long time without an audience. It’s fun having one! 🙂
I don’t mind.
Yes, though I confess not recently. You’ve changed your blog several times. I think I read regularly 3 or 4 ago! At the moment I’m not spending too much time on reading blog, just articles related to my grad school studies. I sometimes take breaks to enjoy poems posted on blogs on the WordPress reader. Those are a nice quick diversion.
They have to be zero emissions or close but I haven’t heard they’re completely illegal. Sadly, I have to fake it with an electric, or the Shaw TV version.
That was amazing! You rule in short poetry.
Thanks. I don’t seem to have patience for long ones any longer.
One speck of dust, is a world all to it’s own!
Yup.
Just drag when it comes to cleaning it up!
🙂
O-Yes, Mrs. Bird!
i truly love reading your stuff, you have a very big following..
i was wondering why do you blog?
Thanks for the sticker!

Well thanks, did realize you read, i do move around a lot, not really sure of the reasons..
Raining here in Vancouver, how about the Okanagan Valley?
Yup. Pouring. Wish I had a wood stove on days like this!
Your allowed to have those in the Okanogan?
i sure like to have at my squat, love the smell fir crackling in the fireplace..
Even in the pot-belly stove at grandma’s…

Why even try! A fireplace fire is not a fire unless you smell and taste the smoke…
I am not so fond of the smoke, but the crackling, the light, and the cozy heat are wonderful
Like loving arms!
