It bides,
waiting out of sight.
It hides in
quivering leaf
tearful cheek
passionate heart.
It burrows
into dark places’
shines
with glorious abandon,
lingers, longing for you to see.

Today’s http://www.napowrimo.net prompt is to address a poem or component of a poem. I think the goal is to use apostrophe, but that’s not what I ended up with. Will metaphor/personification do?
i thought the poem was about beauty, or truth… and at its best, that is what poetry achieves. good choice of images & language. good work!
I’m glad you enjoyed it, Kimberly!
We strive for something we all know, but don’t have a word for.
Yes, precisely.
Just love this one, Mrs. Bird!
Thanks, Chris!
Not a problem, i truly loved that piece of written art!
How the water up there?

Reblogged this on Thoughts Of Sand.
My thoughts are that your poetry evokes exploration, a tantalising peek into our true emotion. Thank you
My pleasure. Thank you for coming by, Ellen.
Yes. That’ll do friend. Quite nicely.
🙂
I’m glad.
A poem about poetry! Far better it is, than a coffee table book about coffee tables. (Snide “Seinfeld” reference) :p
