What’s Valentine’s Day for?
Sure she’s there
yesterday, today, tomorrow
but don’t forget
love needs fuel:
a compliment
a coffee
a night out
a gift of time
a smile
a kiss.
She needs to know
every day
that you would do it all over again
that she’s your only love,
that she makes you a better man.

Valentine’s Day is just a day,
but it’s day to remind you
that you shouldn’t take you lover
for granted.
If you don’t want to buy expensive
flowers and heart shaped boxes
of bad chocolate on February 14th,
pick dandelions and find good chocolate
every day.

As I tell my lovely wife: Everyday should be Valentine’s Day.
Or if not, random days! 🙂
When my kids were little, I’d walk into the house and randomly shout out, “It’s I love my kids day!” and they’d come screaming down to the door because that meant there was an unexpected treat in store. Perhaps a little toy for each, or doughnuts, or whatever. It only happened a couple of times a year. They loved it. 🙂
How about “Oh, today is Valentine’s Day, that’s the day I don’t bring you coffee in bed, so you will really appreciate it the remaining 364 days”.
lol
Spoiled wife!
Dandelion bouquet, that’s my favourite, however it is not the time of year, Mrs Bird!
Here’s a little something, you have an unending beautiful mystic smile! Which complements your eyes!
Somewhere surely there are dandelions?
Thank you for the compliment, Chris.
Totally agree! 🙂 Happy Pre- Valentine’s Day to you and yours, minus the expensive flowers and bad chocolates…Thanks, Shawn 🙂
Hoping for good chocolates, when they go on sale! Godiva truffles, anyone? 😉
The day after, 50% off everything! And the chocolate are still fresh 🙂
Precisely. And since I can’t tell the day of the week now that I’m essentially a shut in, how will I know the difference? 😉
That’s where your Mr. Valentine goes out and scoop you up some Godivas
Fingers crossed! 🙂

Well, most people do try to avoid devils, after all.
