I am sure
I told them
We are sure
Yes, we are young
We told them.
Yes, it’s been fast,
But the college is small
and we get to know people
quickly. We’ve seen each other
ten hours a day for months.
We didn’t tell them
about the ice cold walks,
holding mittened hands,
the tears,
the dreams.
We held those to ourselves.
Well, they said,
If you’re sure.
So we said I do
and I do, too
And we leapt off
a precipice
together.

This is the 30th anniversary of the day I met my dear man. By the summer we were married, and still are
falling.
Happy 30th anniversary! Amazing, so beautiful, a love that deep, where you never stop falling… truly magical.
Thank you. 🙂
It seems the landing was soft and smooth.
Not landed yet…
I remember that feeling. It never quite goes away.
😉
Congratulations! Happy Anniversary!! Lasting Love.
So far, so good.
Blessings to you and “your dear man.” What a loving tribute this is.
Thanks, Tony.

Awesome Shawn! Happy Anniversary 🙂 Still holding mittened hands?
No. Now we avoid walking in the cold whenever possible! 😉 We can have time alone other ways, these days.
🙂
Beautiful!
Thank you Eilis.
“Holding Mitten Hands” – Reminds me of pair skating on the old ice rink. Thanks for for sharing your happiness and rekindling my own memories.
Sometimes both hands in one mitten… :-O
Oh, yeah. My bride and I just celebrated our 40th Thanksgiving together. It’s been a fabulous ride. Some of it rocky, but most of it a smooth slope and a peal of laughter.
Congratulations to you both!
