Yes for this type of crick a deep massage is needed. You poem also had me thinking about the other meanings of “Crick”, such as Down by the crick. Rolling back and forth on the floor works in a pinch (No pun intended).
With a ball to pivot upon. I have tennis balls for this; my son has lacrosse balls.
