I have to admit I had to research the meaning of paradigmatic. (Then I had to research the definition they provided) So does that mean if I research my research am I being paradigmatic?
I was in the middle of my Master’s class, and those were the notes we were doing.
A little poetic distraction from mental concentration.
(short answer to your question: only if researching is central to your life philosophy)
Did I just read in one of your comments that you where in a class and this was just for distraction…..you should be distracted more times then. Found it a very clever poem with a cool rhythm to it.
The notes on the Powerpoint were
Assumption Hunting- (Brookfield 2-7)
paradigmatic – structure
prescriptive- what are your own presumptions?
causal – how education works and leads to understand the conditions under which processes can be cages.
In other words, in our research, as we read we must consider the assumptions made by the author, and as authors of our own papers, we must clarify our own positions, and not assume they are the same as others’ understandings. Everyone hangs his opinions on some frame. It is important to look at the frame, because it explains the shape of the opinions. Oh look. Another poem. They show up most unexpectedly!
What can I say to this, you´re a pro!
Thanks, Charly.
Made me laugh!
Thanks
