I lean against stone
eyes closed
longing for what was
or what will be,
what was lost without
reason or rhyme.
I lean against stone
and in dreams,
see time.

Thank you
This is so beautiful Shawn :’)
Thank you, Srishti.
It worked. The first thing I thought of was “Outlander”, the best book I have Ever read! 🙂
Thanks, Melody. Are you watching the show?
I feel a lot of loss and grieving in this poem. Was that your intention??
If you know Outlander, that is appropriate.
I don’t know Outlander.
Well then! Let me introduce you! 😉 Here’s a nice blurb from the TV folks that covers both books and new show: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkizwJUiVjA
25 million books sold. Diana Gabaldon is an amazing author and delightful person (I’ve met/worked with her several times at writing events). These characters are like good friends. I’ve read them over 9 times since my editor recommended the series to me in 2011. 😉 All ages find something in them. My father-in-law (age 80) enjoys them, my husband, who urusally reads in 15 mins snippets, couldn’t put them down until he finished the series, my mom read them, young ladies I work with have read them… Huge, diverse audience. Check it out!
I will.
this is beautiful
Thank you.
I love stone, it says “I was here before you, and I’ll be here after you’ve gone”.
So it does.
Also other things.
