When I first replied I was feeling overwhelmed but rereading your post and then your question – I feel more positive about it. I would rather have lots to do than nothing to do. And the things in my life that I have to do are all good things. Smile. Thanks for helping me to reframe things.
Ah. The sleep thing. I like to write after midnight. During the school year I have to be in bed at midnight in order to be up at 8 to be out of the house by 8:20 to be at work for 8:45. But if I’m writing, and I end up with a few nights of 2 or 3 a.m. by Friday, I stagger home and collapse into bed at 5 p.m. and sleep right through ’til noon! π
Sometimes we are busy because we choose to be because the activity empowers us, and sometimes we are busy because we accept assignations that are not to our benefit in order not to let someone else down or to be complaisant.
lol
It’s summer vacation. Teachers ‘time off.’ People are always asking me, “What are you doing with your summer? When I answer, they stand with their mouths open.
I have my share of that, but usually it’s more about prioritizing. I may not get to something for ages because other things squeeze ahead (it’s that whole triage thing in action), but then a space will open up, and I’ll get tons done.
I will make myself a list of ‘things to get done’ but it has no time attached to it. I will completely forget about it, find it in a couple of months (or years!) and check off all the things that were accomplished ‘eventually’ as the time came around.
absolutely, time just seems to run away, some days are better than others. Genevieve my wife says she is an internet widow! Oh dear. Am looking for ways to use time more wisely. Best wishes Charles.
I guess, but on the other hand, the excitement of seeing and reading all the blog’s each day, has started a whole new vein of creativity, Which poor Genevieve likes a lot, and so do I, it is only the time it takes, so I am happy, and hope those that read the blog enjoy it as much as Gen and I do. π
definitely…
Glad to know I’m not alone!
Why yes I do – far too much … like a broken clock, I need a crutch. ;D
Interesting analogy. What would you rather be doing?
A whole lotta’ nothing filled with laughter.
Laughter is a good thing.
I concur
π
ABSOLUTELY
For better, or worse?

My pleasure.
Always!
Are you satisfied with it being so?
It’s a constant theme in my life! Ha ha ha
Do you thrive on it, or is it a negative?
I thrive to a point and the lack of sleep forces me to slow down and breathe.

Oh, each and every day!!!! π
Is it good or bad?
VERY good question! I go back and forth, how about you?
I do my best to be efficient in all busyness, and carve moments for recharging. I still spend far too much time on the internet.
Guilty….:)
Yes, I do.
Should we let ourselves get so busy?
Do we have other choices?
Saying no? π
Sometimes we are busy because we choose to be because the activity empowers us, and sometimes we are busy because we accept assignations that are not to our benefit in order not to let someone else down or to be complaisant.
That is true, that aside, sometimes we must be to live.
True
Mine is the opposite. Too much time, not much to do, i wonder what’s up with you? π
lol

Yup! Most of the time actually. π
Female condition?
I think its the human condition actually. But let’s just say my boyfriend sleeps just fine and I’m the one with the sleep problems. lol.
Yeah π
π
I fear procrastination is my biggest problem…

sounds familiar…

The internet has both its positives and its negatives. It’s amazing how much more writing I get done with the internet is down, though! π

A familiar sentiment. π
Quite often…
Haha always! It’s called learning to swim I think π
Yes yes yes
