Mama and Papa Quail,

wearing identically jaunty hats,

are trying to contain

two dozen very excited,

fuzzy brown ping-pong balls.

(and they were ADORABLE as they churned about the grass!)

A shame no picture appeared with the post over here Shawn.

    • I was doing an errand for work in my car when I saw them, and another car was behind me, so I couldn’t stop suddenly to take a photo. I couldn’t believe how many babies there were with only 2 adults, and the babies just a moil of bobbing brown heads. So sweet. I suspect they’ll lose most of them, but it’s always so nice to see a large avian family! ๐Ÿ™‚
