quote- loving April 30, 2014

“I hated him for as long as I could. But then I realized that loving him…that was a part of me, and one of the best parts. It didn’t matter that he couldn’t love me, that had nothing to do with it. But if I couldn’t forgive him, then I could not love him, and that part of me was gone. And I found eventually that I wanted it back.”

Diana Gabaldon in Drums of Autumn

This selection was on my audio book as I was driving to work today.  It seems quite profound.

    • She is! Just 16 days ’til she’s here for our Word on the Lake Writers’ Conference 😀 I’m looking forward to helping at the book signing. If you’re in the interior of BC, come on down Friday, May 16, noon to 2 p.m. at Bookinghame Palace in Piccadilly Mall!

  6. Very nicely written! The play on words is delightful, and the message…awesome!

Hi Shawn, I missed this quote, but it is wonderful, and I love the Gabaldon books, they are still selling very well at my charity bookshop that I run. Blessings Charles.
