Walking across the sky light
in hob nail boots
wings unfolding like black cape
Crow visits the bird house.
“in hob nail boots” what a great line! I liked this one a lot! π
The crows are VERY noisy when they walk across the skylight. Their claws click and thud. It sounds like there are 50 pound kids, but it’s just one little crow…
This poem is very special in its power of words.
did ya get the ‘bird house’ pun? π
missed it the first time! π

Thanks for the support! I appreciate it.
This is my best effort. Nowhere near as good but was fun doing it.
The cat curled and purled,
Slinking in a slipper like
Felonious, feline, fuss
Sniffing the cat-house musk.
Thanks for making me smile so early on a crisp bright Shropshire morning.
Fun!
Absolutely! Off to the shops now giggling as I ask the shop assistant where can I find their stock of crow boots. Tara4now
